1. There is an election coming up next Tuesday. That's 5 days. How about a quick rundown of the candidate's party affiliation and policy stands? I have NO idea who to vote for, so I will either not enter a vote for a position about which I know nothing, or I will close my eyes and eenie-meenie-minie-mo it. I'm too old for the latter, but there is NO info available on the candidates.

2. Why are so many County positions uncontested? Every election I see on my ballot at least one office, usually more, proffering a single candidate. This time it is Nicole Pupanek for School Board Member. I have NO idea what Ms. Pupanek stands for or what party she claims. As far as I can tell, The Jefferson Daily Union tiptoes around and never reports anything substantial about the candidates. How are voters supposed to make good decisions, regardless of their party affiliation?

3. Understand, I am NOT seeking dirt or mudslinging. But for Pete's sake, how about a statement of party affiliation, a statement of policy aspiration and a statement of qualification? Is that too much to ask or too much to manage?

Please let me know if I can be of any help in organizing a service to inform the public about their election choices. Although uncertified, I have a lot of autodidactic experience with computer networking, software, scripting, HTML and security measures stretching back to the days of 14K modem technology. I am comfortable with Windows, Ubuntu Linux, BSD Unix, and Mac OS X. Plus, being unemployed, I also happen to have some time on my hands.

I think some one should point out that walker is saying in his add that under Bush
we were losing jobs, but ever since Obama got elected we have been gaining
jobs. Maybe thanking walker for pointing out how good Obama has done.

You have to click on the blue link "Office volunteer sign up form" once you are on this page. It's in the bottom left corner of the box titled Office Volunteer Sign Up Form (redundant, I know). That will open the office calendar. There you can click on any red box that says 'sign up' for the date and time you want. You can also enter a comment such as coming a little early etc. Your comment will appear under your name on the calendar so we will know any adjustments needed. Let me know if you have any other questions.
